Covid-19 has affected, and continues to affect, so many individuals, especially those individuals already struggling with mental health and technology issues. The loss of what life was pre-pandemic, and trying to make sense of what the new normal might look like post-pandemic, can be unsettling. The lack of control, and fear of the unknown, can create symptoms of anxiety and depression or increase the symptoms of those already suffering. Isolation from friends, family, co-workers, and gatherings has led to loneliness and a feeling of loss for so many. Without healthy ways of managing emotions, individuals might revert to unhealthy ways of coping or gaining a sense of control, through increased technology use, eating disorders or obsessive compulsive behaviors.
